The Role of Pakistan in China’s Transportation Projects

Within the framework of the New Silk Road strategy, China is focused on the implementation of its long-term strategic Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which includes the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road projects. Unveiled during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Astana in September 2013, the BRI was presented as a development strategy to boost infrastructure and economic connectivity throughout Eurasia.
